What is a home?
Home is a place where you feel safe and warmth. It’s a place to cure your tiredness and stress from work. It’s a house filled with love – love and support from your family – which makes it home.
When one is really tied up with work and spends little time at home, does it then mean that the home is being treated like a hotel? No… Home is not just a place for you to stay over like hotel; it provides more than that. Even though you might spend little time at home, it’ll forever be a place for you to recharge, to feel good again with the full support from your family members each time you stepped into your home.
The warm greetings from your parents, children, wife or even your pet is what make the difference. The little things your family do for you, i.e. making the home clean, or leaving dinner for you, or staying up to wait for your arrival home, matter a lot to you.
Cherish your home and family, and not bring the stress and negative emotions from whatever you’d experienced outside, back home. Do not let your work and stress affect your home and family. They do not know what you might have experienced negative outside and hence, do not assume that they know and understand you. Be patient with them, talk things out nicely and share your worries or troubles calmly, and I strongly believe your family members will show their support and help you find a solution together.
Home should be a place filled with peace, love and joy. Share them whenever you can. Make home a place with positivity. Negativity will eventually be neutralized when you start playing your part in making your home, home, and remember to start treating your family with patience, love and fullest support.
